Thanks George and Abe..........

The kiddos got to have the whole week off of school for presidents day. Taking full advantage of the vacation we packed up the car and headed to Utah for some snowboarding and fun. The weather was pretty rotten here at home so we drove south through Vegas and St. George. We stopped and took a break, had a picnic, climbed on some rocks and explored an old cave hut.

I loved Ashlee's strong face in this picture.

We also stopped at "Historic Cove Fort". As many times that I've driven to Vegas and St. George, this was my first time there. The missionaries showed us a movie on the history and afterwards took us for a tour of the Fort itself. We were walking over to the buildings and Caleb said,"look, they made a replica of the fort in that movie." Carl told him that we were walking through the actual fort they were talking about in the movie. It was pretty cute.
It always amazes me to see the faith of the pioneers and their sacrifice and dedication to the church. The tour was great until we went up on the walkway and Sydney threw some snow on a poor, unsuspecting lady below us. She might be the only visitor kicked out of the fort in history.

Your kids are adorable. And the pics of S. Utah are beautiful. One question... Does Carl ever smile in pics?
