Friday Fieldtrips........
Since it's officially summer now that equals boredom for my kids. Misty came up with a great plan to go do fun, inexpensive activities each week so they have something to look forward to. We decided to call it "Friday Field trips" except next week it is on Wednesday. Whatever, we are cool. So last Friday we took the kids minus Caleb to Pixie Woods. Caleb was a little too cool to go with us so he hung out with his friend Philip. The girls had so much fun. We had a picnic and rode the train and carousel. The weather was perfect too because it has been unseasonably cool here. Good times. Thanks Mist for the great idea.

That park looks way fun! Our neighbors have done "Wacky Wednesdays" and "Fun Fridays" too! It's fun for the moms as well! Hey, call me when you get a sec, I have to talk to you!
That is one of the reasons we do "zoo day" on Fridays. It gives the kids something to look forward to and I get to hang out and chat with a friend while the kids are entertained. I really should be more creative and switch it up a little, but that's what the other days of the week are for, right?!
That is such a fun place! And what a great idea for both you and the kids!
Love catching up with what you are doing. And I'm stealing all your great ideas! Love "Field Trip Friday" and love that you are paying your kids to read a book with a book report (although my kids are only getting $1.00).
My kids just got out of school Wednesday and the summer already seems long!
