Other sights of Mount Lassen

Here are a few more pics from their Lassen trip. Looks like fun, but Vegas ruined me and I am not a fan of the cold anymore.

Walking along the Hot Pots.

Caleb said they smelled like poo. (His word, not mine)

My awesome boys.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Climbing Mount Lassen

After the yard sale and Caleb's soccer game yesterday (we lost, sniff...) Carl decided to take Caleb and drive a short 4 1/2 hours away to climb to the top of Mount Lassen. It is the largest volcanic dome and the only other volcano besides Mt. St. Helen's to erupt during the 2oth century along the Cascades. After they had left on their adventure I found out that it could become active at any time, in fact the hot pots around it are continually getting hotter. (global warming or something more diabolical? You decide.) So they actually went up on the first stormy weekend we have had and ran into some snowy weather. Caleb was tough though and they had a great time. They didn't quite make it to the top because of the storm, but they had fun camping and hiking around.

Free For YOU Today.....

This is our "WET" City wide yard sale. We didn't have much to put out but we still made $150 dollars. This was me using my negotiating skills that I picked up Cabo San Lucas. Tina, you would have been proud.

General Conference.....

Our friends, the Underwoods came over to watch General Conference and have pancakes with us this morning. Scott and Landon made yummy chocolate chip pancakes for everyone and the girls colored pictures that I got off the Idea Door. ( A great website for primary help). It was a little crazy with so many kids but they were really good and conference was awesome. I loved Presidents Monson's talk on gratititude. It really made me think of all the things in my life that I am thankful for. So I thought I would list just a few. I am so thankful for my sweet husband, he works so hard to support our family and he is such an amazing dad. He makes me laugh everyday and I still get butterflys when I think of him. I love you Carl. I am thankful for my kids and I feel blessed and honored to be their mom, I am thankful for our families. Nana and Papa and grandpa and Nanny and everyone else, family really is the most important thing in life. I am thankful for the gospel and for the opportunity I have to serve in my ward. I have the greatest presidency that supports me, and the greatest Bishop ever. I am thankful for all of the friends we've made throughout the years. I want to start a little journal and write something everyday that I am thankful for and try to be more aware of the gifts Heavenly Father gives to me.

Hey! Wait for me..........

This is what I am going to hollering at Misty next Saturday during our
5K Run in Riverbank to help raise money for cancer survivors and to help us get in shape for the Golden Gate Headlands Half Marathon we are running in April. The half marathon starts at Rodeo Beach and follows the coastline along the San Francisco Bay. We are trying to recruit others that can be talked into running with us so if you cave to peer pressure hurry and sign up! (Tami, Kim? Luckily Mel has an excuse.) More info on that later.

Ashlee's career plans....

So we established that Sydney is going to be "Tami the Haircut Girl" when she grows up. Now Ashlee has decided to go into interior decorating. She and Syd colored all these pages in her My Little Pony coloring book, then carefully tore them out and taped them all to her bedroom door. I was downstairs working on scouts when she came and said she has a surprise for me. It was pretty cute. Even Carl thought it was cute and didn't even care about the scotch tape all over the door. So if you need some decorating done she's your girl!

We Love you Nana.....

My mom is going to for surgery on her knee tomorrow and we just wanted to tell her that we love her and that we are praying for a fast recovery. She felt left out because Dr. Jackson has performed knee surgery on my dad, brother and sister, so mom just wanted to follow the crowd and give in to peer pressure. Hey mom, Just Say "NO". Apparently I am the only Hall that has normal knees. Yay for me. (knock on wood). So anyway, good luck tomorrow. WE LOVE YOU!!!!
